J-Witex Plating Technology
In order to protect steel wire products against corrosion, we are able to provide our customers with various kinds of plating technology corresponding to the circumstances in use and the expected processing method and application of customers.The feature of each plating technology is as follows.
Our Initiatives towards Carbon Neutrality
We aim to realize the carbon neutral society by providing most optimal plating technology which is able to contribute to less reconstruction cost and works in the field of power supply network and civil construction etc.
Our goals are:

Our galvanized steel wire and wire rope being used for long suspension bridge.
1.Zinc Plating (Galvanizing)

- Hot dip galvanizing, Thin plating (Irion-zinc alloy layer)
- [Anti-corrosiveness]
- Barrier effect by generated protective coating and sacrificial protection effect by zinc.
- [Application]
- Most popular plating widely in use with good cost performance.
2.Zinc-5%Aluminum Alloy Plating
- [Anti-corrosiveness]
- More than double corrosiveness than Zinc plating
・As well as Zinc plating, barrier effect by generated protective coating and sacrificial protection effect by zinc based alloy.
・Comparing with Zinc plating, addition of Aluminum improve anti-corrosiveness by milder generation speed of protective coating.
- [Application]
- Generally used in tele communication field and extended to other usage needed more anti-corrosiveness than Zinc.
3.Zinc-10%Aluminum Alloy Plating, named “KALG”
- [Anti-Corrosiveness]
- More than triple anti-corrosiveness than Zinc plating.
・Comparing with Zinc-5%Auminum alloy plating, further higher anti-corrosiveness achieved by increased Aluminum inclusion to 10%.
- [Application]
- Suitable for heavy corrosive-environment such as the area with salt damage.
4.Ternary Alloy based Plating with High Corrosion Resistance, named “Tough Guard™ Hard”
- [Anti-Corrosiveness]
- More than 8 times anti-corrosiveness than Zinc.
・Comparing with Zinc-Aluminum Alloy, addition of Magnesium generates more solid protective coating for better barrier effect against corrosion.
- [Application]
- Suitable for much heavier corrosive-environment such as the area with more serious salt damage.

5.Aluminum Plating, named “KALS”
- [Anti-Corrosiveness]
- By inclusion of Silicon into Aluminum, both processability and anti-corrosiveness improve best and much higher anti-corrosiveness achieved with generated much durable protective coating.

- Suitable for the usage normally in sea water like fishing industry.
